More Than 1,500 Driver Partners Complete Safe Driving Online Course Through inDrive

Ktm; inDrive, a global mobility and delivery platform, has taken a significant step toward safer mobility with the launch of its Safe Driving Online Course in Nepal. More than 1,500 driver partners in Nepal completed the inDrive Safe Driving Online Course, marking an important milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen safety awareness, professional conduct and emergency preparedness among its driver community.

The course is a structured training programme that is also mobile-friendly, designed to equip driver partners with the knowledge and confidence they need to navigate the road and every ride safely. The participating 1,500+ drivers successfully completed the course and received digital certification from inDrive.

Designed to be practical and easy to access, the course can be completed in around 20 minutes and focuses on three key areas: safe and professional interaction with passengers, road safety for ride-hailing drivers, and emergency response and the use of in-app safety features.

Sunita Jeemi Rai, Senior Driver Operations Specialist at inDrive Nepal, said, “Crossing 1,500 certified drivers is an important milestone for us. Drivers spend many hours on the road and face different situations every day, so having access to practical safety information is extremely important. Through this course, we want to help our driver partners feel more confident, aware and prepared while providing rides, not just in terms of what to pay attention to within the app, but also how they can carry out their daily work while staying 100% safe and alert.”

Manjeeta Gurung, Communications Manager at inDrive Nepal, said, “The course was kept simple and accessible so drivers could complete it without taking much time away from their work. The response we have received shows that practical and easy-to-understand safety training can make a meaningful difference.”

Bishal Pakhrin, inDrive Moto driver partner, said, “As a moto driver, I spend most of my day on the road, so the course was a useful reminder of safety practices that we sometimes take for granted. I found the road safety, emergency response and SOS sections especially helpful, as they gave me a clearer understanding of what to do in unexpected situations.”

Similarly, Kamal Ghimere, an inDrive Cab driver partner, said, “The course helped me understand that safety is not only about driving carefully. How we communicate with passengers, maintain professional behaviour and handle different situations during a ride is equally important. The training was simple, practical and relevant to our everyday work.”

The safe driving online course is structured into three comprehensive courses:

  • Course A – On-Platform Safety and Professional Boundaries: This course is designed on how drivers can maintain safe, respectful interactions with passengers within the platform environment, including how to set and uphold professional limits during rides.
  • Course B – Road Safety Essentials for Ride-Hailing: This course is designed and focused on practical road safety knowledge tailored to the realities of ride-hailing, from defensive driving habits to situational awareness in high-traffic or unfamiliar environments.
  • Course C – Emergencies, Reporting & SOS Use: This course is designed to prepare drivers to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, including how to use the in-app SOS feature and the correct channels for reporting incidents.
