As part of the 50×2030 Initiative, FAO is supporting Nepal’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to implement the National Agriculture Survey (NAS).
This week, FAO facilitated the “Questionnaire Design Training and Stakeholders’ Consultative Workshop” in Kathmandu, bringing together officials from the Ministry, National Statistical Office, provincial representatives, and other key stakeholders.
The sessions focused on enhancing questionnaire design, improving data collection tools, and incorporating lessons learned to ensure robust, contextually relevant agricultural statistics. The consultative workshop provided a platform for stakeholders to share experiences, identify challenges, and provide valuable feedback to strengthen agricultural data systems in Nepal.
Better data leads to better decisions – paving the way for informed policies, improved livelihoods, and progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
