The Tourism Promotion and B2B Exchange Program in Tokyo and Osaka on 2nd April and 5th April 2026, jointly organized by Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal Airlines Corporation and PATA Nepal Chapter concluded successfully. The program, an initiative to strengthen Nepal’s presence in the Japanese travel market, helped foster meaningful engagement between Nepal’s travel trade and key Japanese travel industry players, including tour operators, travel agencies and media representatives to promote Nepal as a premier travel destination.
The program provided a platform for direct interaction and networking sessions between Nepali and Japanese counterparts to showcase Nepal’s products and services while building valuable partnerships.
The Tokyo program was graced by Deputy Chief of the Mission Mr Harihar Kanta Poudel, reiterating the importance of such programs for tourism promotion and a destination promotion presentation with Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings by Ms Ranu Shah, Sr Manager. A presentation by Nepal Airlines Corporation was also showcased on its fleets and connectivity to disseminate the updated information. The presentation of Ms Shah included Nepal’s rich cultural heritage, iconic destinations, adventure tourism opportunities and wellness experiences. By presenting Nepal as a safe, unique and year-round destination, the initiative is hoped to enhance Nepal’s brand image in the international market. Besides, such programs play a crucial role in increasing tourist inflow and creating niche travel packages that appeal the Japanese travelers.
This program further demonstrated a unified effort to promote Nepal by expanding its market reach, fostering partnerships and positioning Nepal as a preferred destination among Japanese travelers.
