Honorable Mr. Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister chaired the High-Level Regional Consultation on Financing for Development in Asia and the Pacific that is being held on 17-18 December 2024 at the United Nations Conference Center in Bangkok. The UNESCAP Bangkok has organized the regional consultation in the preparations for the Fourth International High-Level Conference on Financing for Development that will be held in Seville, Spain in June 2025. 
Honorable Mr. Bishnu Prasad Paudel delivered the Keynote Speech at the opening Session of the High-Level Consultation today. Mr. Paudel highlighted on the important progress made in the implementation of Addis Ababa Action Agenda in realizing the Sustainable Development Goals. 

Honorable Minister mentioned that budget planning, efficiency in resource allocation, capacity building for effective project implementation and sustainable expenditure management are major challenges that the developing and least developed countries are facing at present. 
Honorable Minister underscored the importance of formulation of specific and clear internal revenue mobilization policies and their effective implementation by the developing and least developed countries in order to attain reform in their revenue mobilization capacity.
